Poem

by Sluvious

Waterfalls

Shower me with affection
so genuine and pure
wash away all the rejection
that holds this heart secure

bathe my childhood with innocence
opposite of what it used to be
create memories of substance
shed light upon this darkened tree

splash warm rays of sunshine
onto a cold bitter soul
envelop your wings in to mine
and let's soar out of control

swim with me upstream
for just a few more years
visualize this beautiful dream
through the waterfall of tears.

Bob Shank-August Mourning, 2008
For her memory
